1000 Raindrops is a site specific installation inspired by my experience of travelling and living in Scotland, mid pandemic. It explores how I experienced the environment through a torrent, a downpour, a sheet of rain, a panorama of changing skies, the sea, the coldness, the power and beauty of the landscape and my inter connectedness to it.

The piece changes in response to the site, transforming the environment.  It has been installed across multiple sites integrating multiple elements. 1000 Raindrops responds to the architecture, lighting and palette of each new environment, each response offering something new.

I investigate the use of light and colour as form, the opportunity to remove boundaries between painting and sculpture, the viewer and the work.   Movement of the viewer is an essential element, exploring transience; the changing light and sensory experience.

1000 Raindrops speculatively explores notions of employing light, space and material to create an immersive installation as a contemporary female artist.
