I am a multidisciplinary artist with an MA Contemporary Art Practice from Edinburgh College of Art and a BA Painting and Fine Art from Sheffield Hallam University. I have worked as an artist and educator throughout my career and am currently Turps Alumni and part of the Turps Collective; Split.

I work primarily in painting and installation utilising light, space and form to explore experiences of interconnectedness and community.

My work follows the fields of minimal and gestural abstraction and is heavily influenced by the light and space movement. I work with spontaneity and chance, exploring colour and form through layering, staining, and repetitive mark making. The result is a material process based practice contemplating place, time and experience.

My most recent work explores expanded painting and develops intuitively in response to the environment, navigating painting as movement, in dialogue with material, space and time.    This new body of work considers themes of connection, absence, presence, transformation and potential.
